While we were in Jackson, Alpine, and visiting the Tetons, we decided our Melvin Brewing experience would be incomplete without checking out Thai Me Up. Jeremy Tofte, the founder of Melvin began brewing beer at this restaurant back in 2009. The brewery started with a 20 gallon brewing system.

The Ambiance

Just walking up to the restaurant, you can feel the creative and fun style that Thai Me Up and Melvin Brewing has become known for. From the quirky elephant logo to the motor cart and large oversized windows and bright lights. Inside offered bright colors and fun lighting. The kitchen is open so you can watch the excitement and smell the amazing ingredients as each meal is cooked to order. The bar is fun and unique, with a large curving concrete bar and additional concrete bar height tables throughout the space. Colorful lighting surrounds the space with thematic details.

The Drinks

Of course, Melvin was on tap, so we started the evening off with a beer, you can explore their tap menu here. Thai Me Up also has a full bar and serves mixed drinks. While we were there, we enjoyed Melvin’s Nate Car IPA and Vodka Tonics.

The Food

After exploring the menu we chose to go with a tasting and not limit ourselves to one plate. After perusing the menu, we decided to enjoy a few appetizers and split one of the fried rice dishes. The food was delicious!

Appetizers

We started our evening off with the Shishito Peppers and Crab Rangoons. The peppers were cooked perfectly with lime juice and bonito salt. The rangoons were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Next, we tried the Pot Stickers and Egg Rolls, the pot stickers were perfect, as were the egg rolls. All of the sauces were delicious.

Dinner

We took a break and took some photos before ordering any more food. After the appetizers settled we chose to order the Thai Basil Fried Rice with steak. We both love a good fried rice, and we were so happy with this dish! The flavors were perfect and the rice was just slightly spicy, which we loved.
