The Best of 2021 Wyoming Spirits

Throughout 2021 we had the opportunity to visit some amazing breweries and distilleries. As mentioned, this issue of Live WYld is a celebration of 2021 and we want to celebrate and highlight a few of our favorite adventures into the world of Wyoming spirits.
Liquor
Cowboy Country Distilling
Warmth, balance, and heart. More than a tasting, Tim works to educate and inspire. This facility is home to some of the best tasting whiskey, bourbon, gin, vodka and liqueurs. Located in Pinedale, Wyoming, you can tour the facility, experience an educational tasting and learn more about the process of making each spirit.

Backwards Distillery
Family and fun are the heart of this distillery that was founded by the Pollock Family. Chad, the brother, is who we met and had a tasting with. The brand, decor, and ambiance celebrate childhood and imagination and it is carried through the spirits we tasted.

Why it’s on the list for the Best of Wyoming: The unique brand experience is cohesive from the decor to the packaging and in the experience provided. We love the lineup of spirits including the Milk Can Moonshine.
Jackson Hole Still Works
We love Chas and Travis! These guys are passionate about their work and have made a name for themselves with Wyoming made vodka and gin. A local favorite at bars throughout the state, you can enjoy these spirits made with mountain fresh spring water.

Why it’s on the list for the Best of Wyoming: These guys support local artists with their annual label artwork competition. They also employ a grain to gas philosophy that ensures they maintain the quality we’ve come to know and love.
Beer
Gruner Brothers Brewing
These guys are family. We love visiting with Ben and Sonya and always enjoy a Gruner brothers beer. From welcoming us into the brewery, to taking us on adventures, these guys are what Live WYld is all about.

Why it’s on the list for the Best of Wyoming: This beer is fantastic, clean, crisp and refreshing. It is the perfect beer for any adventure. Having toured the facility, it is one of the cleanest breweries we have ever been in and their brewery features their own water treatment system.
Roadhouse Brewing
Roadhouse Brewing is more than a brewery, it is a creative environment and one of the most welcoming brewery tours and interviews we have had. We were able to taste the beer, food, tour the creative brewery where they brew small batch beer and the larger facility where they brew for canning and distribution.

Why it’s on the list for the Best of Wyoming: This is fun beer for fun people. One of our favorite things we learned was that when a staff member wants to learn to brew, or has an idea, they support it and let them help create new recipes. They promote growth and creativity amongst the staff, and the beer is delicious!
Bonds Brewing
Craft beer lovers unite! Bonds brewing celebrates a love of craft brewing and they have created a space for people to enjoy their love of beer. Grab a game and a beer and settle in for an afternoon of fun or hit the back patio in the evening for an evening around the fire pit.
