"Our friends at the Lander Chamber of Commerce hooked us up with a a fun list of things to do this holiday season. From Light up Lander in Centennial Park to the High School Concerts and ice skating at Lander City Park. The holiday season is looking both Merry and Bright!”

  • Dec. 4: Light Up Lander, starts at 700 Main St. See Santa and join the holiday parade down Main Street to Centennial Park to light the community Christmas tree. Parade participants decorate their vehicles in the jolliest holiday fashion - cars, bikes, trucks, you name it! Santa rides on a fire truck.

  • Dec. 4: Lander Community Concert; Noteworthy, one of BYU's top a cappella ensembles, 7 pm, Lander Valley High School auditorium, 350 Baldwin Creek Road

  • Dec. 5: Art in the Afternoon, a holiday art fair featuring unique and original artwork from local artists, 10am-3pm, Lander Community Center, 950 Buena Vista Drive

  • Dec. 7: Lander Middle School Winter Band Concert, 7-8:30 pm, Lander Valley High School auditorium, 350 Baldwin Creek Road

  • Dec. 13: Lander Valley High School Choir Concert, 7-8:30 pm, Lander Valley High School auditorium, 350 Baldwin Creek Road

  • Dec. 14: Lander Valley High School Band Concert, 7-8:30 pm, Lander Valley High School auditorium, 350 Baldwin Creek Road

  • Dec. 16: Lander Middle School Choir Performance, 7-8:20 pm, Lander Valley High School auditorium, 350 Baldwin Creek Road

  • Dec. 18: MET Opera live in HD at Lander Library, "The Magic Flute", 1 pm, Lander Library, 200 Amoretti St.

  • Dec. 18: Old-time Christmas Open House, enjoy Christmas music, crafts treats and exhibits, 5-7 pm, Pioneer Museum, 1443 W. Main St.

  • Ice skating at Lander City Park starts on Dec. 18 (weather permitting) and will remain open as long as weather permits. If regulations permit, the warming building will be open for skate rentals and a few snacks.
