Places To Eat In Saratoga - Firewater Public House

Written By: Sarah Reish

Whether you are local or just passing through Saratoga, make your way to Firewater Public House. Enjoy scratch made comfort food that reaches the soul. The menu is reminiscent of the meals we grew up with, but elevated and refined. This is also home to a large selection of whiskey and craft cocktails. Located in a historical building, you can find this restaurant on East Main Avenue.

Exterior, Yard & Patio

Located directly next to the river with a large yard, this restaurant offers space to enjoy the outdoors. A large deck features fun yellow picnic tables and tons of seating. The white wood siding on the exterior of the building offer a bright and cheery welcome. The side and back of the restaurant feature fun murals adding personality and fun to the brand experience of this restaurant. The front entrance features a covered porch with a porch swing.

Interior

The interior of the restaurant is both rustic with touches of industrial. The warm tones in the wood and leather couches perfectly compliment the black and white paint. With plants, books, and homey touches the restaurant is welcoming to all. The variety of seating options from the bar to large community table offers a place to sit back with family and friends and enjoy good food.

The Food

The food is scratch made and the menu is incredible. As I mentioned earlier, the menu is elevated, but nostalgic and a nod to classic favorites. Here is a peak at what we enjoyed, plus a couple extra items our neighboring diner was enjoying.

Salad

This was our neighbors meal and it looked fantastic! This “Not a Wedge” salad had the add on of fried chicken!

Bison Poutine

If this dish isn’t familiar to you, get familiar. Poutine is a Canadian favorite and can also be found in the northern part of America. Traditional poutine is made with cut fries, cheese curds and gravy. Firewater Public House upped this traditional recipe with large chunks of bison meatloaf and pickled Shishito peppers and red onion.

Firewater Burger

A fantastic iconic burger with a bit of class. This smash burger has American cheese, but then things kick up a notch with fried onions and candied bacon!

Saratoga Hot Inflation Sandwich

This was amazing! The perfectly crispy chicken features a ghost-chili spice! I highly recommend it!
