Hobo Hot Springs

Written By: Sarah Reish

This is an amazing location to visit the next time you are in Saratoga and I wish we had been able to get in the pool on a cooler day! The hot spring pool is actually located behind the public pool. Don’t worry about going through the public pool entrance, just walk along the side and access the hot springs that are located in the back.

Hot Pool

The hot springs pool is beautiful and features a wall that protects the area from wind. There is a sand floor that offers a realistic natural feel to the hot springs. The changing area with showers and restroom facilities make accessing the pool easy and convenient. The water temperature ranges from the cooler areas at around 106 to the warmest waters at 119 degrees. Relax in the waters and enjoy the outdoors year round.

Cool down

Remember how I said it was hot while we were there? It was in the 90’s and honestly sitting in hot water wasn’t going to be a long lasting activity. The solution you ask? Well, the hot spring is  located steps from the river and actually feeds into the river. Step into the river and cool down if things get warm. Swimmers or someone have stacked rocks forming a low current pool area for cooling down enjoyment.

The details

The hot springs is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, year round. That means if you are driving into town late or are hitting the road early, you can still get in a soak! Make it a holiday tradition because it is also open on holidays.

Location: Saratoga Hobo Hot Springs

300 E Walnut Ave Saratoga, WY 82331
