WYld at Heart - Celebrities for a Cause

Our friends are involved with this amazing group of people that are working to gather athletes and celebrities to participate in a multi-day fundraising event. When we were invited to be a part of this, we were excited and interested to hear more about the event and cause.
The Cause
Each year there will be a different cause, but this year is cancer related. Proceeds will be sent to St. Judes and Wyoming Cancer Resources. The work these two organizations offer benefit individuals and families that are struggling through the fight of their lives. Everyone has been impacted by cancer whether individually or they have fought alongside a family member or friend that is experiencing cancer. So, let’s all band together and either participate or donate to this fundraising event.
The Events
June 18th Day one: On the first day of the event, athletes, sponsors, and paying players will be in a golf tournament at the Olive Glenn Golf Course in Cody, Wyoming. The event includes tickets to watch the tournament or to play and attend the banquet with live music and guest speakers.
June 19th Day two: Is the softball tournament. The gates open at 11 am where there will be a silent auction, home run derby at 12, tournament at 2, and a concert featuring Country Platinum Selling artists Jamie O’Neal and Bobby Chitwood.
Bonus events for the kids:
On June 16th there will be clinics including a Basketball clinic for both boys and girls by Jumaine Jones, QB clinic by Quincy Carter, Running Back clinic by Leroy Collins, and Marques Ogden is doing an Offensive Lineman Clinic.
On the 17th is Outfield clinics by Otis and Donell Nixon, Infielders clinic by Jeff Frye, and a Pitching clinic by John Rocker. Get the kids involved because this is a great opportunity for them to meet amazing athletes and learn about their favorite sports.
The Celebrities
The founder of the event, Ryan Brown, has spoken to many of these stars through his work at a local radio station and through interviews has been able to get to know them. There are numerous athletes and personalities attending this event. From baseball to football and basketball to wrestling. There are actors, musicians, and hometown heroes alike that are giving their support and joining the cause.
